Everyone Told Me A Complete Nerve Decompression Surgery Was Only Chance For Relief.  So I Had Never Had Much Hope For My Legs...

As someone diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, I used to suffer constantly from extremely stiff, swelling and rock hard lower legs  on a regular basis. As a young woman, and even through my early adulthood, I was plagued with constant swelling that kept me sidelined from activities I loved. Playing with my grandkids? Forget it. Salsa dancing with my husband? The pain kept me off the dance floor.

I tried everything to manage my condition – diuretics, antibiotics, Googling, drinking plenty of water, 10 to 15 min walk , elevating, immersing feet in cold water you name it. Nothing worked for me.  Consulting doctors always scratching their heads and looking at me like i'm bonkers.They just don't give enough information.

One day my feet and legs were massive and I bumped into the coffee table with my shin... My leg started to weep clear liquid. That freaked me out enough that I finally did something about it and found a new Doctor that did find out that my swelling is being caused by the diabetes as is the peripheral neuropathy.  Due to the diabetes that went untreated for so many many years.
